Join us for an exciting STEM Night where students will have a blast learning about snowflakes, building catapults, using geoboards, exploring block coding, and much more! This event is a fantastic opportunity for kids to get out of the house during the cold weather and engage in fun, educational activities. Dinner will be provided, and each child will leave with information about the activities they participated in, along with a take-home STEM project that parents and kids can enjoy together. Pre-registration discounts and family discounts are available, and each person who pre-registers will be emailed a gift certificate, perfect as a stocking stuffer or gift. Don't miss out on this wonderful evening of discovery and creativity!

Last week, our High School and Middle School students rocked the vote at their Student Choice events! Student Choice is a chance for students to give their feedback on competing cafeteria concepts and vote for the winner.
Over 300 students voted, and Big City Barbecue was our winner! We will be incorporating these offerings into our upcoming menus.

Parents and Students:
We have had many requests at Tahlequah High School for a work permit this year. This process takes time, so please be patient with us:)
Students need a JOB first. After the student has accepted a job, the student is given a 600 form to fill out and bring back to the HS Office Manager. Along with the 600 form they will need to bring an accepted legal proof of age. Accepted legal proof of age forms are – Birth Certificate, Certificate of Baptism showing date of birth and place of baptism, passport showing the age, Certificate of arrival in the US issued by US Immigration Office showing age of child, Life insurance policy at least 1 year old showing age of child, or their CDIB Card.
Step #2: when the 600 form is returned with the accepted proof of age form, the Principal then checks grades and attendance before the form is signed.
Step #3: When the Principal has signed the form, then a copy of the 600 form that is completed and a new 601 form is then filled out by the THS Office Manager. A copy of the completed 600 form, 601 form, proof of age, and a copy of child labor laws is given to the student to return to the employer as proof that the student is not eligible to work.
