Making the Ring of Champions is a tall task at any state fair with such a large number of exhibitors . However, Kynleigh Steely had that kind of week. Kynleigh’s Berkshire barrow was selected as breed champion. She did not end up Grand, but she was 1 of 6 barrows that got to vie for Grand Champion. With this honor Kynleigh won a $2500 scholarship that can be used at any university upon graduation. Congratulations!!!
This week Native American Arts is learning about the 7 clans of the Cherokee People. Each student is applying newly gained knowledge to create a sculpture or mask representing one of the clans.

Safety First!!!! Attention TPS families! Help us keep our buildings safe! We would ask you, if possible, to follow the same safety procedures we have in place for our athletic events at ANY event at TPS. Parent-Teacher Conferences, choir concerts, family nights, book fairs, etc.! Clear bags or no bags help us to keep our buildings secure.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding! We appreciate the community support that you have shown in the last few weeks! Tahlequah truly is the best place to live!
We have been made aware of a Tiktok threat to a school. This post said nothing about Tahlequah Public Schools. However, we want the public to know our SROs and administration team are aware of the post and are following our security guidelines as always. We want to emphasize that we have no knowledge of a direct threat to any site at TPS. The well-being of our students is our top priority, and we are committed to providing a safe learning environment.

Hello Tahlequah Tigers! This is just a reminder that tomorrow night is our first high school home football game. Our new safety procedures will be in place. You can find these on our website and on our Facebook page. A few of these procedures are clear bags only, 6th through 12th grade students must have their IDs and elementary aged students must be with a parent or guardian. Thank you ahead of time for your cooperation and patience!
We are aware of an incident involving an unloaded BB gun brought to school at Tahlequah Middle School. This morning the administration was notified by a student of a reported weapon on campus. Administrators and our SRO immediately searched the student’s backpack and found an unloaded BB gun. We want to emphasize that the situation has been resolved and appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken. The well-being of our students is our top priority, and we are committed to providing a safe learning environment.
