Tahlequah High School Athletics has had an outstanding season, marking one of the most successful periods in its history.

The Tahlequah High School baseball team's remarkable performance led them to victory in district 5A-4, finishing with an impressive 13-1 record in district play. Hosting a regional for the first time in 15 years, they clinched the title, defeating both BTW and Durant. Although they were defeated by Duncan in the semifinals of the state tournament, their overall record for the year stands at 24-12. Notably, eight players from the team were selected for the All-District team: Eli Gibson, Synjin Sampson, Beckett Robinson, Cutter Girdner, Rylan Eagle, Levi Kelly, Brayden Northington, and Chance Pair.

A total of 25 student athletes from Tahlequah High School Track qualified for this year’s State Track meet at Western High School. Notable achievements include:

- Riley Dotson's 6th place finish in the 400m (59.35 seconds).

- McKenna Hood's school record-breaking performances, securing 5th place in the 800m (2:20:73) and 6th place in the 1600m (5:32.44).

- The 4x100m Relay team, comprised of Kynley Frazier, Khloe Frazier, Lakyn Adams, and Riley Dotson, set a school record and finished 4th (49.32 seconds).

- Trae Baker's outstanding performance, winning the 800m (1:52.81), finishing 2nd in the 1600m (4:20.18), and claiming 1st place in the 3200m (9:36.88), setting new school records. Trae Baker, who was voted as the male athlete of the year at THS, won two state championships and one runner up state title.

Both the girls' and boys' tennis teams qualified for the state tournament held in Oklahoma City, marking the first time in several years that the entire teams have qualified. The boys' golf team qualified for the state tournament at Blanchard, finishing 12th overall, while Draeuh Dallis represented Tahlequah High School in the girls' golf tournament held in Muskogee.

In total, Tahlequah Athletics boasts 15 All-Staters, with numerous athletes securing athletic scholarships. Additionally, the school's athletic department has made strides in accessibility, streaming events on the Green Country Sports Network on YouTube, providing free access to parents, fans, and patrons. We would like to thank the families, community and area businesses that continually support our programs. As always, the department is actively seeking more corporate sponsors to further support athletics and education.

As Tahlequah Athletics concludes a busy yet successful year, the community is encouraged to attend events in the upcoming Fall season. With pride, we say, Go Tigers!
