If you would like to apply for an Open Transfer you can complete the fillable form above and email it to gleasonv@tahlequahschools.org , or you can come to the Tahlequah Board of Education, located on 225 N Water Ave, and submit it in person.

Transfer Requests for the 2025-2026 school year will not be accepted until June 1st.

If you are in question about what district you reside in or if this applies to you, please call 918-458-4100, and we will happily check the district your address falls under.

All parents/guardians will need to have a guardian portal login for the Sylogist system. This will allow you to fill out the necessary documents for the school year.

2. If you do not have an account, you will need to request one:

3. Once logged in, click on Student Records portal

4. If you are enrolling a student that is brand new to the district, you will click on Add New Student, complete the enrollment, and Submit to Site, OR If you are pre-enrolling a current student, you will click on Enroll 2025-2026

5. Review and update any information that needs changed (If your address has changed, please upload a new proof of residency)

   Complete all required documents and any others that are applicable (Bus Contract, Boys and Girls Club, Indian Eligibility, etc.)  Press Submit to Site.

1. Cherokee County Assessor’s office printout of address OR filed Homestead Exemption form

   • One of the following: a copy of the utility bill, phone bill, rent receipt, water bill, or lease agreement with physical address. (P.O. Boxes are not acceptable)

• Shot / Immunization Record 

  • All series must be complete or up-to-date, or you must have a State approved exemption form.

• Pre-Kindergarten – 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.

• Kindergarten – 5 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.

• First Grade – must be 6 years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.

All students enrolling in Tahlequah Public Schools must do so at the Board of Education Enrollment Center with a legal parent or guardian, or the legal parent/guardian can request an account online and proceed from home. Students must enroll using their legal name. Using a name other than the one shown on the Birth Certificate requires legal documentation as proof of change.
